Welcome to Duluth

This last weekend Jason's team went up to work in a new area. We spent 5 days up in Duluth, Minnesota. It is a beautiful little town right on Lake Superior. Let me tell you the lake was massive, but if it were up to me I would call it 'The mini ocean'. We did a lot of fun sight seeing, going to all the fun restaurants, and enjoying something new. We also got news that this sunday we are moving to work in Toledo, Ohio for the rest of the summer. I guess its time to say Goodbye to beautiful Minnesota.

This was the darling restaurant Sarah's Table that was featured on the food network, Jason loved the french toast. (He always does) Isn't he adorable!

Duluth has an alpine slide just like Park City! I couldn't have been more excited! This is something my family does every year and I'm so happy i still got to do it across the country! It sure made me miss home.

Us girls took a trip to the Glensheen Mansion. Story is that the crazy daughter that lived here in the early 1900s partnered with the crazy grounds keeper and murdered the owner of the home. That creepiness aside, it was beautiful, the grounds were stunning, the house was charming, and it had a straight shot to the beach!!

This used to be the Duluth High School. Can you imagine going to school every day in this beautiful place!?

This trip was a breath of fresh air for me. I was reminded why we came out here, that we are here for a reason, and that I can be happy even though I am so far from my family. I owe everything to my husband, I love him more than anything, he has helped me grow so much and is always teaching me how to be a better person. I am so grateful to share these experiences with my best friend!

Trip Home

After Hawaii Jason went back to Minnesota to work and i got another 2 weeks at my parents. It couldn't have been better, it was so good to be home and spend time with my family. Nothing makes me happier! :)
My dads classic face while finishing yet another 100 mile bike race. I'm always so proud of him!

Poor morgan just found out she has celiac disease. We spent the day at Primary Childrens where she had a stomach scope done. She was a little nervous until she found out she could fall asleep to a gas that smelled like cotton candy! Lucky...

Always a blast with the kids at Lagoon!

Morgan turned 11 while I was there, and thats the rightful age us kids got to go get our ears pierced!

Aloooha!

We were lucky enough to take a week vacation with the Cherry's in HAWAII! It was so fun. It rained most of the time but we made the best of it! There was even a flash flood near our beach house that trapped us in our car for 4 hours and completely destroyed the locals yards and washed away cars. It was insane!! The most intense rain, thunder and lightening i have ever witnessed! We spent most of our time near the north shore, snorkeling, body surfing, sight seeing, and of course enjoying the AMAZING shaved ice! I miss it already!

Our pretty green BEACH HOUSE!!

The view from our backyard.

I loved the Polynesian Cultural Center, especially the Luau!

Of course the boys had to go cliff jumping.

This was our favorite Shave Ice shack. SOO good!

We were a little disappointed that Bell wasn't in her beautiful yellow dress.

Dave proposed to adorable Nancy while scuba diving! CONGRATS!

We had a perfect vacation, it was so fun to be with everyone! (except my poor husband who had to stay behind and work :( we missed him so much!)

I tell you, I have too much time on my hands. I had fun putting this video together :)
